From the field
We choose producers on the ground, not from a catalogue
A sample tells you what a producer can make. It does not tell you how they make it. Production conditions, hygiene discipline and packaging practice only become visible on site — so we visit growing regions and factories before entering a supply relationship.
Our assessment
What we look at in a facility
Four areas are assessed together on every visit. Product quality alone is not sufficient if any one of them falls short.
- 01
Production processes
Which methods are used from harvest through processing, how repeatable those processes are, and whether capacity can carry our order volumes.
- 02
Product quality
Sampling, cupping and quality control — measured not on a single lot but on consistency across production from different periods.
- 03
Hygiene standards
Conditions in production and storage areas, personnel practice, and the environment the product is exposed to during processing.
- 04
Packaging
Packaging material, method, and how well the product stays protected in transit. Over long-distance shipping this stage decides quality directly.
